Love Times 2! December 15, 2011

We finally set up a session to capture these two little cuties!  The twins are so much fun!  I could lose track of time playing with these kiddos.  This shoot was a surprise for their daddy, but as soon as I posted some of the photos, Mom couldn’t help but share them.  Surprise!

Burns Family Christmas Photos December 15, 2011

This is the third year in a row I have taken Stephen and Theresa’s photos for their Christmas cards.  Just as I am growing in my photography, they are growing in their marriage.  It is such a heartwarming feeling to see two people so in love.

Babies Babies Everywhere! December 15, 2011

My family has had a baby boom of our own in the last several years.  As kids, my cousins and I were close.  We grew up together, spent the night at each others houses, and even went to school together.  We have this amazing bond that most families do not have.  Well, our kids get to experience the same thing :)   Here is a photo of all of our kids :)

Abrams Wedding December 15, 2011

I am so behind with my blog posts!!!  In November, I had the opportunity to capture Venessa and Dustin’s wedding at the Pine Hills Lodge in Julian.  The weather was freezing and I am pretty sure my fingers became numb within moments of getting out of the car.  The bridal party was so tough!  They stuck it out to capture some stunning images.  Congrats to Venessa and Dustin!  I wish you many, many years of happinessImage!Image

Butterfly Kisses | Gedman Wedding | Lakeside November 10, 2011

Being a young photographer brings so much joy to my life as my friends grow up and ask me to capture the most important day of their life. My friend, Anais, from the 7th grade, asked me to photograph her wedding almost a year ago. Leading up to her wedding, I got more excited. When the day came, I found both of us getting teary eyed as the moment was emotional. How cool is it we are growing up and are able to share our lives with the one person who God made for us?

Here is my favorite photograph of Anais and her husband, Andrew, from their wedding day!

Bobby and Felicia’s Engagement Session | Coronado October 16, 2011

Photographing a newly engaged couple is a magical moment. I love being able to see their love unfold for one another. It is such a privilege to be allowed into a couple’s lives and to be able to capture their love the way I see it. Bobby and Felicia were a lot of fun to work with. We had some good laughs during their session, especially when some tourists began taking their picture. I look forward to capturing their wedding next August :)

Amy and Madison October 16, 2011

Kids always present a challenge while photographing them with their families. I love how after a while, they warm up to you and begin to show their little personalities. Madison was that kid. I tried to ask her about her school, friends, favorite singer…you name it, just to get her to feel comfortable. Finally she broke out of her little shell and was soooo much fun to work with. I was fortunate to capture Amy and Madison together. Together, you can feel the special Mommy-Daughter bond they share. Their photographs tell a story, one of love, trust, and compassion. It was an honor to capture their morning together :)

Answered Prayers September 19, 2011

I just have to say, when Jesus speaks to your heart, listen, follow through, and serve Him. He told me to give this family a free portrait session, and Saturday, I found out, they had been praying for it. God is not just good, He is AMAZING! I met the Dunne family through their youngest son, who I used to work with at the pre-school. I fell in love with their son, and was fortunate enough to interact with his family.

A few months ago, I learned about the rough road that lye ahead of the Dunne family. I was struck with disbelief, heartache, and many questions.I would like to ask my followers to please pray for Shawn Dunne. He is battling Melanoma Cancer. Things you can pray for: Healing, strength, appetite, peace, understanding, educated doctors, medications to fight the cancer, support, a halt to the spreading of the cancer, and anything else you feel the Dunne family can benefit from.

Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.”

New Lens!!!! September 10, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — studiononephotography @ 4:55 pm

After waiting and waiting and waiting for the UPS truck to pull into my drive way, the power went out all across San Diego. I had to wait an extra day for my lens to arrive. The newest addition to my photography equipment is the Canon 70-300mm 1:4-5.6L IS USM lens. I of course had to test it out on my daughter. This is my new favorite image:

Baby Madilyn August 4, 2011

If there is one thing I love in this world, it is babies!  New life is a miracle and to be able to photograph the special moments in a newborn’s life is amazing.  I love capturing the genuine smiles and giggles these little ones have.  Annie contacted me to do her daughter’s newborn portraits and I was ecstatic!  Her daughter is such a happy baby.  She was full of smiles and giggles throughout our session.  I look forward to watching her grow!
